Scientific Reports invites Isabel González Siso to edit the collection of articles “Genomics of extreme environments”

Isabel González Siso, CICA sub-director and researcher in EXPRELA, will co-publish one of the collections selected by Scientific Reports for the year 2022: Genomics of extreme environments”.

As the journal introduces: Life on Earth has been able to adapt to the most inhospitable of places; polar regions, warm deserts, deep oceans, pitch-black caves, toxic lakes, and even nuclear waste sites. Organisms that thrive in extreme environments are often called extremophiles, and underlying the unique adaptations to such harsh conditions is their genetic backdrop. This Collection is open to the latest genetic and genomic research focusing on how different organisms have evolved to not only tolerate but flourish in the most extreme environments

Scientific Reports, with CiteScore de 7.1 and decile D1, invites all researchers working on this scientific area to submit their manuscripts until the end of September 2022
