Researchers María Isabel González and Manuel Becerra from the EXPRELA group have been invited to edit the next issue “Novel Microbial Enzymes with Industrial Applications” of the open access journal “Microorganisms”.
Industry’s commitment to sustainable development is promoting the use of enzymes from microorganisms, often inhabitants of hostile environments, whose properties are applicable to industrial processes. Metagenomics aims to sequence the genome of these micro-organisms, and thus discover new enzymes, without the need to cultivate them in laboratories.
“Microorganisms, with a 4.128 impact index (JCR 2020!), invites all researchers studying new microbial enzymes and their applications in industry and biotechnology to submit their manuscripts by 30 November 2021.
