The REACT!-Photo researcher and well-known scientific disseminator, Deborah García Bello, has been interviewed on Radio Galega on the occasion of the recognition she has been awarded, together with Juan Manuel Bermúdez, the “CICA Ambassadors” Award.
Deborah says she is delighted with the award, which she has meritoriously earned for her fantastic work disseminating the research we do in our centre. “When I find something cool to tell, I contact the researchers and look for a way to spread the word,” says Deborah.
She takes the opportunity to explain what perovskiña is, “a solid that changes temperature when subjected to pressure” and “can be used for cooling”. She also explains how it was a coincidence to start studying perovskiña as a cooling solid, when studying the properties of the newly discovered material, they observed that the temperature changed when pressure was applied to it.
