Ethics within RRI focuses on:
– Research integrity: the prevention of unacceptable research practices and research
– Science and society: the ethical acceptance of scientific and technological developments.
The University of A Coruña has a “Research Ethics Committee” which has developed a set of regulations to be followed by all its staff:

There are also various resources on scientific ethics and plagiarism available to the university community:

Among the next actions of the CICA is to organise a training course on ethics and scientific integrity for its staff.
Governance
Governance arrangements to achieve an acceptable and desirable future need to:
– Be robust and adaptable to the unpredictable development of research and innovation (de facto management).
– Be familiar enough to align with existing practices.
– Share responsibility among all actors.
– Provide governance instruments to foster this shared responsibility.
The CICA management is committed to RRI. It encourages participation in RRI projects, carries out scientific dissemination activities and trains its staff in RRI principles.
