Recently, the AQUAE Foundation has made public its top 10 of cutting-edge Spanish female researchers, and Vanessa Valdiglesias occupies one of the positions. The Foundation itself explains that Vanessa <<works on the study of how the different substances with which we are in daily contact can affect the normal functioning of cells>>.
As a result of this merit, La Opinión A Coruña has interviewed the researcher focusing on three aspects: her research lines, the career of women scientists and the brain drain in Spain, making an important reflection: <<We have to retain the talent that is formed and capture the talent that has emigrated, a generation that has been lost and that we must try to recover>>.
