Una breve reseña del CV del Invitado
Dr.Vikas Abrol is a Professor of Soil Science in the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology,-Jammu, India. After receiving his Ph.D. on Soil Science from the Sher-e-Kashmir University, he became a Postdoctorate fellow in the Volcani Centre of Israel to pursue research on the “Efficacy of synthetic polymers (Anionic PAM) on soil and water conservation”, and later on “Biochar: Mechanism of action as soil and water conservation agent in agricultural soils”. He has published research papers in journals of international repute in the area of Soil Science and Agronomy, like Land Degradation and Development; Journal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science; European Journal of Agronomy; European Journal of Soil Science, Journal of Soil and Sediments, Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, or Tropical Ecology.
His research interests are focused on the evaluation of the practical use of biochar in agriculture, and in the preparation, characterization and evaluation of nano-biochar-based nitrogen and potassium fertilizers on crop productivity under rainfed agro-ecosystem of North-Western Himalayas, being the principal investigator in research projects focused on this topic.
